Fortunately, the St. Andrews Golf Performance Center offers our members everything they need to succeed. Below are several tips from our experts to help you create a more effective practice routine:
1) Make it consistent. True improvement can only come from repetition. Sure, going out to the driving range every once in a while can be fun, but until you make it a regular part of your weekly routine, your swing is not going to improve! Find time in your week to dedicate to your golf game—a couple hours a week is plenty. Put it on your calendar and treat it just like every other obligation you have.
2) Seek expert guidance. It is very difficult to improve your golf game on your own. In order to spot your flaws and areas that need work, it is essential that you get advice from an expert. Fortunately, at St. Andrews, our PGA certified staff can provide you with exactly the feedback you need. Once you know what to work on, you can use our practice facilities to refine every facet of your game.
3) Don’t neglect your short game. While many golfers tend to focus on their woods and long irons while practicing, oftentimes improving your short game is the best way to shave points of your score. Make sure that you spend plenty of time each week chipping and putting—but don’t worry, our facilities make it easy and fun!
