Members at St. Andrews know that we consistently go the extra mile to provide them with the highest possible quality of service. This commitment means world class amenities such as golf and tennis, it means a spectacular dining experience, and it means an unparalleled lifestyle. But at St. Andrews, we are equally concerned with providing less immediately obvious value to our members. This month, we kicked off a project to switch from propane gas to natural gas. This will provide cost savings for our members—not to mention increased real estate value. And this initiative is in keeping with our focus on conservation and sustainable living (our herb garden and reclaimed water, for example).
We have partnered with Florida Public Utilities to carry out this project, which will take approximately 12 weeks to finish. Once completed, we will use natural gas for our water heaters, our pool heater, two of our generators, and even for cooking. This switch is highly advantageous for the entire community—because not only is natural gas cheaper than propane, but it is also cleaner, more environmentally friendly, and more readily available.
Florida Public Utilities is currently using a directional boring technique to facilitate this installation. In addition to providing our facilities with natural gas, the pipeline will be large enough to accommodate residents who would like to receive natural gas in their homes. If you would like more information, please feel free to contact us for details!
St. Andrews is known for the unparalleled lifestyle experience we provide to each of our members. That’s why we offer two 18-hole championship golf courses, incredible fitness facilities, and now even a genuine red-clay tennis court featuring clay imported from Europe! But despite these impressive amenities, our team is never content with the status quo. And that is why we have invested time and resources into exploring and now implementing a shift from propane to natural gas. We are proud to offer our residents increased savings and improved real estate value—making a St. Andrews membership more valuable than ever.
