The 28th Annual Feed the Hungry Event is Right Around the Corner… Will You Join Us?

At St. Andrews, giving back to the local community is a top priority. That’s why we, along with Addison Reserve Country Club and Boca Grove Golf and Tennis Club, are glad to continue the tradition of coming together to aid Congregation B’nai Israel of Boca Raton and Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in their 28th consecutive Feed the Hungry Program that provides Thanksgiving dinner to over 3,000 area residents on Tuesday, November 20. St. Andrews Country Club has spearheaded giving traditional Thanksgiving side dishes by recruiting other area clubs to participate.

Organizers of Feed the Hungry reached out to Craig Martin, C.C.M., COO & General Manager of St. Andrews Country Club to reach out to his colleagues to provide side dishes to help their cause.  Martin commented, “It is so important for both people and organizations to pitch in to help those less fortunate, especially as our economy slowly improves. What has become an annual event is rewarding for all parties involved and I am once again moved by the St. Andrews Country Club Board of Governors and my fellow Club Managers Association members who continue to provide all of the items requested.”

“Craig Martin and his colleagues Michael McCarthy, CEO & General Manager of Addison Reserve Country Club and Chuck Lehner, COO & General Manager of Boca Grove Golf & Tennis Club offered assistance without hesitation. We are thankful the area clubs, especially St. Andrews and Boca Grove who have partnered with us for the past four years and want to express our gratitude to them, and especially to Craig for his support,” said Janyce Speier, a Feed the Hungry volunteer and St. Andrews Country Club member.

Feed the Hungry Thanksgiving feast on November 20 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 200 NE 12 Street, Boca Raton, FL 33432.  Directions:  Dixie Highway south, turn left after Glades Road.  Follow the road around to the left of the church.  For additional information, call CBI Coordinator Greg Jacobs at 561-239-0016 or Ebenezer Church at 561-391-7357.

At St. Andrews, we recognize the importance of supporting the local community—particularly in a challenging economy such as we are currently experiencing. We are honored to have the opportunity to give back to the community—and we urge you to join us!
